BEACH: Access to public beach just minutes away. We are located between the 2 harbor towns of Holland and Grand Haven Michigan. We have river access for kayaking or canoeing, fishing and jet skiing located right behind home. River connects to Pigeon Lake, which connects to Lake Michigan. There is a Boat launch less than 1/2 mile away and bike paths leading to Holland State Park and Grand Haven. There are several county and State parks a stones through away: Kirk Park is 3.5 miles, Tunnel Park is 7.4 miles, Holland State Park is 9.8 Miles and Grand Haven State Park is 12.4 miles.

 

BEACHTOWNS and AREA ATTRACTIONS:

Grand Haven is the Coast Guard Capitol, beautiful downtown with eccentric shops, pier and lighthouse. Ice cream parlors dot channel and the world famous Dancing Fountains!

Holland has fine dining, wine, art galleries, micro-breweries, and a gorgeous beach. Tulips, gardens and Dutch hospitality!  Located just a few miles from us is Tunnel Park.  This park has an extensive beach plus picnic areas, two picnic shelters, four sand volleyball courts, a children’s playground complete with a dune climb, and a dune stairway with spectacular views of Lake Michigan.

Looking for something else to do?   Hemlock Crossing is 3.3 miles from the house and offers 239 acres and over six miles of trails; you’ll get your fill of hiking and cross-country skiing.  Facilities include a kayak/canoe launch, and over a mile of paved trail.

There is so much more to do just minutes from the house, try Rosy Mound just 8.9 miles north up Lakeshore Drive. Rosy Mound is a classic Great Lakes dune system including high wooded dunes, foredunes, beach and a dune blowout.

A 0.7 mile (one way) hiking trail from the parking area to the Lake Michigan shoreline includes 1,000 feet of stairs up and down the dunes and scenic views of woods, the dune blowout and Lake Michigan.
