We began as the ultimate Woman’s Weekend Getaway and now have expanded our services to include day events, corporate events, and much more! Into The Woods Retreat is located in beautiful West Michigan along the Pigeon River. We promise you won’t find a better retreat i the Midwest for relaxation.

Our Story

Into the Woods Retreat, LLC began as a dream, after reading about a similar B&B operated by women, passionate about crafting. After dreaming, planning, and hours of remodeling, Into the Woods openned it’s doors in October, 2008. Since then, the retreat has been enjoyed primarily by women, for crafting getaways with their consultants or friends. ITW has expanded its services to day events and rentals, both with great response. ITW is proud of the high percentage of repeat customers. The owner and her team of hostesses are there for their guests every need!

The retreat is owned by Mercedes Saurbaugh, who lives only a few miles away. She believes that the retreat is a place for women, groups, and families to get away and spend time together! During her stays at the retreat she has enjoyed scrapbooking, reading in the cozy living room, eating the great meals, getting a massage, and sleeping in! She also hostesses at the retreat from time to time, and whenever possible is there to greet the guests!
